Jamie Henk - Varsity Coach

Coach Henk is a Houston native that started playing softball at the   age 4 years old and continued for 16 years after that. This   passion and competitiveness has now carried over into her   coaching and teaching career.

Coach Henk was a 2014 graduate from Porter High School where   she started on Varsity softball and basketball all 4 years of her   high  school career. After high school, she continued her softball   career through an athletic scholarship under Head Coach Kelly   Saenz at San Jacinto College-South. Jamie started both seasons   in the outfield and was a right-handed hitter.

In her first year at San Jacinto, she helped lead the team to an   overall record of 34-25 (15-9 in Conference play) and placed 7th   in  the Region XIV tournament.

During the 2016 season and in her sophomore year at San Jac, Jamie helped lead the team to an overall record of 38-25 (14-10 in conference play), 1st NFCA Midwest, a Regional XIV tournament Championship, and advancing to the Women’s College World Series where they finished 6th.

After her 2 years at SJC, Coach Henk transferred to Sam Houston State University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Minor in Secondary Education in May of 2019. During this time, Coach Henk worked under Head Softball Coach Michelle Rochinski (overall coaching record) and Head Volleyball Coach Tommie Sledge (overall coaching record) where she picked up some more competitive and relentless coaching habits.

Since the 3rd grade, Coach Henk has always wanted to be a softball coach that teaches Health Fitness. She now gets to live that dream every day here at Northbrook High School as the Head softball and JV volleyball coach where she teaches 4 sections of Health Fitness.

 Erin Bishop JV Coach

Coach Erin Bishop is originally from Georgia, but was raised in Fort Worth where she grew up playing competitive softball.       From the age of 4, she played t-ball, rec league, select ball, high school and college ball for the following 18 years. Softball has   been the greatest passion of her life, and her main goal in coaching is to pass on the valuable life lessons she took from the   game.

Coach Bishop graduated in 2012 from Timber Creek High School in Keller, TX where she started on the varsity softball team   as  a pitcher and outfielder for three years. After high school, she continued her softball career with an academic scholarship to   LeTourneau University under head coach Kate Bell. In her first year at LeTourneau University, she helped the team as a utility   player to a 21-19 record.

During the 2014 season and her sophomore year at LeTourneau University, Erin helped lead the team to their first appearance   at the ASC Conference Tournament where they placed 5th place. With a season batting average of .667 and 3 stolen bases,   she contributed as a utility player and a switch hitting slapper. In 2015, and her last season, LeTourneau returned to the the   ASC Conference Tournament and placed 3rd after being predicted to place last in the conference earlier that year.

Coach Bishop graduated after three years with a Bachelor of Arts in English Education and began her career as a teacher and   coach in Midland, TX. She’s wanted to be a teacher and coach since high school, and she’s beyond thrilled to be doing that at   Northbrook High School everyday.
