During the last 6 years, the Childress Foundation Academy has taken many field trips. Usually each grade level will take 2 trips. Every effort is made to find trips that can enhance the curriculum that is being taught in the classroom. The connection is easy to see when World History is studying  Hitler, Nazis, and Germany and the class visits the Holocaust Museum. When the government classes are learning about the court system, the seniors visit Judge McSpadden's District Court and the Harris County jail. Generally the students retain much more of what they experience on these trips than from the classroom.
