Registration Requirements
What documentation do I need to register a new student in SBISD?
Parents are encouraged to register students before the first day of school. Only students new to SBISD, or district residents who have moved within SBISD and will attend a different school than the previous year, must register for classes. Students who have withdrawn must register again.
Registration hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. M-F. The student and parent or legal guardian must be present for enrollment. Enrollment requirements include:
¨ Immunization record certified by a doctor or public health official
¨ Copy of most recent report card from the last school attended
¨ Birth certificate or other document suitable as proof of a child’s identity
¨ Proof of residence-lease agreement, mortgage payment book, district tax bill
¨ Withdrawal form from previous school
¨ Copy of Parent/Guardian’s drivers license
¨ Transcript and TAKS Scores (12th grade students)
¨ Completed enrollment packet (all forms signed and dated)
Immunization Requirements in the State of Texas
All students, including prekindergarten and kindergarten students, should receive age-appropriate health immunizations. Immunization requirements are set by the Texas Department of State and Health Services and are subject to change on an annual basis.
There are changes in immunization requirements for the new school year. To receive the most current and accurate information possible, please contact your pediatrician or the school nurse at your neighborhood campus.

The SBISD Health Center
SBISD families can also visit the Spring Branch Community Health Center, 9325 Kempwood, which offers low-cost immunizations, based on family income and need.
Health Center hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday and Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. For details, please call (713) 462-6565.
